Our deepest fear

First blog post

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves,

“Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking

so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God

that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously

give other people permission to do the same.

As we’re liberated from our own fear,

our presence automatically liberates others.

– Marianne Williamson

Ok, why have I chosen to start up a blog? Well, initially the idea of starting a blog startled me, I just couldn’t imagine being a blog owner, but I’ve come to realise that there is something burning in the inside of me that was waiting to find expression in writing. That’s why I love this poem above because it reminds that there is something more!

However, I took the courage to just start something no matter how little, and I thank God for making this a possibility. So if you have a dream, go after it. Stop waiting for the perfect time because it might never come. YOU create the perfect timing for any dream you have to come to pass. The perfect time is NOW!

So, this blog shall be devoted to studies on being like Christ and we would be starting with a series on the fruit of the Spirit. Welcome on the journey to the fruit of the Spirit. ENJOY!

NB: Please, if you are not yet a child of God, why not? Today is your day. NOW is your acceptable time. If you want to receive Jesus as your LORD and saviour, by that I mean if you want to be a child of GOD, you can NOW by saying sincerely this prayer from your heart as I lead you:

“Dear GOD, I come to You this day, as a sinner, please forgive me all my sins (mention them one by one). Cleanse me and make me a new creature. I receive Your son JESUS CHRIST as my LORD and saviour, in JESUS’ name I pray! Amen”

Congratulations to you there as you have said this prayer in faith and sincerity, I encourage you to look more in the face of JESUS by studying His word (the Bible) daily, praying daily, and fellowship with a bible believing church.
