As I woke up few days ago to pray, few minutes into the prayer, the power was restored. Although I didn’t want to distract the session of prayer, I had to rise up and plug in my devices so it could charge, because not charging the devices could mean doing nothing at all for the rest of that day. Hence, I reluctantly got up and as I plugged in my devices, the Spirit whispered a very vital question to me, “Is your spirit recharged”?
In times this when online meetings, webinars, and massive open online courses are readily available to keep us engaged, we run the risk of shifting focus on“Who” we really need. Most times, we get so encumbered with personal development and charging of our intellectual batteries that we neglect what really matters. We desire to acquire all the knowledge of the world and in the process neglect to acknowledge “Him,” who is Wisdom personified.
For most of us, we feel real sick when there’s no power in our devices, in fact, we could get so bored that we wouldn’t mind paying to get it charged so we could just be online and attend to our various appointments. But, do we care to consider how dangerous it is to leave our spiritual life without power? Have you considered how vulnerable you are living with a spiritual life that’s constantly reading low battery?
You know that when a device reads low battery for a while, the next that happens is that it goes off completely. The same it is with our spiritual life, when you leave it uncharged for too long, it’s only a matter of time before it completely gets drained and goes back to zero level. At this point, you are at the mercy of the evil ones because there’s no power left in you to exercise against their manipulations.
Remember, Jesus is our source of power, and if we don’t recharge our batteries at such a time as this, we run the risk of becoming weak and powerless in the times ahead of us. We must put God in front, despite the activities, targets and all that is in front of us.

If it matters to you, can you rise up and begin to pray fervently and declare from the depth of your innermost being “Jesus you are all that matters”
Tell Him that He is all that matters to you, that silver and gold cannot take His place
